How do I know if I have dry mouth

When your body doesn’t produce enough saliva your mouth may end up feeling dry.

You might just think that you are more thirsty than normal, or find that some foods are more difficult to swallow. Or perhaps your dentures are not staying in place. So how can you tell if you may be suffering from dry mouth?

If you are taking 2 or more medicines daily, drink regularly to keep your mouth moist, get thirsty at night or have trouble swallowing, especially dry foods, then it is possible that you are suffering from dry mouth. You may also notice that you struggle to keep your dentures in.

Mouth breathing or snoring at night can also cause your mouth to become dry.
