What is Oralieve used for? 
Oralieve offers a range of products that help relieve dry mouth symptoms by mimicking natural saliva and keeping the mouth comfortably moisturised. The Oralieve Oral Comfort range can be used alongside the relief range to help protect the teeth and gums from tooth decay and gum disease (often associated with dry mouth).
 
What types of products does Oralieve offer? 
The Oralieve range has 2 dry mouth relief products in different formats - Moisturising Mouth Gel and Moisturising Mouth Spray which relieve the symptoms of dry mouth. You may wish to use both or you may have a preference of delivery of the product. The range also comprises of Oral Comfort products - Alcohol Free Mouthrinse, Ultra Mild Toothpaste, Nourishing Lip Care and 360 Degree Tooth and Mouth Brushes. These products are ideal to use if you have a dry, sore or sensitive mouth as they are mild and contain no SLS. With a lack of saliva, you are more susceptible to mouth infections, tooth decay and gum disease so optimal oral hygiene is essential. We understand that people with dry mouths have ‘different needs’ due to the mouth being sensitive and perhaps sore, which is why our products are formulated in a particular way.

What makes the Oralieve range different from other dry mouth brands?
Oralieve products use a unique enzyme system to simulate natural saliva. They are free from sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and alcohol, making them suitable for dry and sensitive mouths. 

What are the 360 Degree Tooth and Mouth Brushes used for?
These ultra soft brushes can be used for brushing teeth, applying gel, and removing debris from the mouth. They are especially helpful for people with sensitive mouths or limited dexterity.

Usage and Safety

Is it safe to swallow Oralieve products? 
Yes, Oralieve products are safe to swallow in small quantities. However, they should not be sprayed or applied directly to the back of the throat. 

How do I use the Oralieve Mouth Spray? 
Spray 2–3 times directly inside the mouth, targeting the soft tissues. Avoid spraying toward the throat. Application can be repeated as often as required.

Can Oralieve be used every day? 
Yes, Oralieve products are designed for daily use and can be used multiple times a day as needed. Each product can be used alongside other Oralieve products in the range.

Should I rinse my mouth with water after using the mouthwash? 
No. For best results, avoid rinsing with water immediately after using the mouthwash to allow the ingredients to continue working. 

How much gel should I use per application? 
Use a pea-sized amount and apply it to the inside of your mouth as needed. Using too much gel can have an opposite effect on efficiency so always use recommended amount.  
 
How long does it take to feel relief and how long does it last? 
Relief is often felt almost immediately. The moisturising effect varies from person to person, but the gel and spray offer longer-lasting comfort. 

How long can I keep an unopened Oralieve product?
The shelf life for all Oralieve products is 2 years. All Oralieve products have an expiry date on the packaging so please refer to this and do not use after this date.

Can I use Oralieve even if I don’t have dry mouth? 
Yes, however you do not need to use our relief products (Oralieve Moisturising Mouth Gel and Oralieve Moisturising Mouth Spray) but you may find our oral comfort products appropriate especially if you cannot tolerate strong flavours or products with SLS.  Oralieve products are gentle and contain no SLS. Our 360 degree tooth and mouth brushes are ideal for sore and sensitive mouths and can be used by adults and children (over 3 years) alike. 

How long can I use the products once they have been open?
Once opened, the products should be used within 3 months. This is clearly stated on the packaging to ensure product freshness and effectiveness.  

Ingredients and Suitability

What is the pH level of Oralieve products? 
Oralieve products start around pH 5.5 (ideal for enzyme activity) and adjust towards neutral in the mouth to help protect against acid erosion. 

Do Oralieve products contain fluoride? 
Yes. The toothpaste contains 1450ppm fluoride, and the mouthwash contains 225ppm to help protect teeth  from tooth decay.

Do Oralieve products contain artificial colours?
No, all Oralieve products are free from artificial colours. 

Are Oralieve products free from Gluten?
No, Oralieve products are not gluten-free as they contain whey protein.

Are the products suitable for people with diabetes? 
Yes. The tiny amount of glucose present is used in the enzyme process and poses no risk. Xylitol is also included to help neutralise acidity. 

What’s the role of xylitol and glucose in Oralieve products?
Oralieve products contain a small amount of glucose to support the enzyme system. This amount is very minimal and is consumed during use, so it poses no risk. Xylitol, a tooth friendly sweetener, is also included. It helps neutralise acid in the mouth and support a healthy pH balance.

Do they contain milk or animal ingredients? 
Yes. They contain bovine-derived whey proteins. They are vegetarian-friendly but not vegan. The whey protein makes up just 0.05% of the product.

Are the products halal? 
While Oralieve does not contain pork or alcohol and is generally considered halal, it is not officially halal-certified. The milk protein comes from a bovine source and is suitable for vegetarians. 

What percentage of milk protein is used in Oralieve products?
Oralieve products contain 0.05% whey protein, delivered from a bovine source.

Children and Special Conditions

Are Oralieve products suitable for children? 
Oralieve Moisturising Mouth Gel, Moisturising Mouth Spray and Alcohol-Free Mouthrinse are not suitable for children under 12 unless directed by a healthcare professional. Oralieve Ultra Mild Toothpaste is not suitable for children under 6 unless directed by a healthcare professional. Oralieve 360 degree Tooth and Mouth brushes (both standard and small) should not be used on children under 3 years of age or used as a teething aid. 

Are the toothbrushes suitable for children with autism or sensory issues? 
Yes, Oralieve 360 Degree Tooth and Mouth Brushes are often favoured by children with sensory sensitivities, including those with autism, due to their gentle bristles and easy to hold handle.

Can I use Oralieve if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding? 
Yes, the products are safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Always consult your doctor beforehand if you’re unsure. 

I’m undergoing chemotherapy / had head and neck cancer. Can I use Oralieve? 
Yes. Oralieve products are designed for people with sensitive mouths, including those affected by chemotherapy and radiation. Always check with your healthcare provider. 

I have Sjögren’s   Syndrome. Can I use Oralieve?
Yes. Oralieve products are designed for people with sensitive mouths, including those affected by autoimmune conditions like Sjögren’s. Always check with your healthcare provider.

I’m suffering from Lichen Planus. Can I use Oralieve?
Yes. Oralieve products are designed for people with sensitive mouths. Oralieve toothpaste has been specially developed to be gentle on sensitive mouths and is widely used by patients with Lichen Planus. The formulation contains no Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) so it doesn’t foam and it has a very mild mint flavour so will not burn or irritate a sensitive mouth.

Are Oralieve products safe to use alongside other medications? 
Yes, they are generally safe , but it is always worth checking on the label of other medication to use in conjunction with. Always check with your pharmacist if you're using prescription medicines that affect your mouth.

Is Oralieve lip care suitable for people using oxygen therapy?
Yes, Oralieve Nourishing Lip Care is safe for people who use oxygen. It’s free from petroleum and alcohol, making it suitable for dry, sore or cracked lips – even when caused by oxygen use.

Why do I get dry mouth more at night? 
Saliva flow naturally decreases during sleep, making symptoms more noticeable at night. Oralieve gel can help provide overnight relief. 

Why do some medications cause dry mouth?
Certain medications can have an anticholinergic effect which essentially means they can reduce the amount of saliva the body produces. Many prescription and over the counter medicines such as antidepressants, bladder drugs, some medications for Parkinson’s disease, cold and flu remedies and antihistamines etc can have this effect. If taking a combination of medications, you are increasing the risk of dry mouth. If you notice your mouth feels dry after starting a new medication, speak to your doctor or pharmacist and consider using products like Oralieve to stay comfortable and protect your oral health. 

I’m on several medications. Can I still use Oralieve?
Yes, Oralieve products are generally safe to use alongside most medications. They are gentle, non-irritating and designed for sensitive mouths. If you are taking prescription medicines and are unsure, we recommend checking with your pharmacist or healthcare provider. 

I’m not sure what is causing my dry mouth. What should I do?
Dry mouth can be linked to age, medications, medical conditions, or lifestyle factors like snoring or dehydration. If you are unsure, we recommend speaking to your GP, Dentist or Pharmacist. Meanwhile, Oralieve products can help ease symptoms while you find the cause.  

How do I know which Oralieve product is right for me? 
Oralieve Moisturising Mouth Gel and Spray are ideal for the relief of dry mouth. Other products in the Oralieve range are good to use for Oral comfort and are suitable if you have a dry or sensitive mouth. Are there any side effects? 
Oralieve products are well tolerated  with no known side effects. If you experience irritation or an allergic reaction, stop using it immediately and  consult a healthcare professional.

How can I claim my discount code?
If you have a discount code, simply type it into the voucher code box when you checkout. You will see the code applied to your order.

Can I cancel an order?
If you would like to cancel an order please get in contact with us by emailing hello@oralieve.co.uk or calling our help line at 01582 439 122.

Can I exchange an item?
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at hello@oralieve.co.uk and send your item to: 728 Capability Green Luton GB LU1 3LU.

What is your return & refunds policy?
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

I haven’t received my refund?
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hello@oralieve.co.uk.

Delivery and Shipping

Where do you ship to?
Oralieve products are currently shipped within the United Kingdom only. 

What are the shipping costs?
Shipping is calculated at checkout once your postcode is entered. As a guide:
£1.99 for samples, lip care, and toothbrushes 
£3.50 for all other items

Will I get a refund for my shipping cost?
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?
You will receive an email notification when you place your order to confirm receipt. Your order should be with you within 3-5 working days. However, if your order hasn’t arrived within this time please email hello@oralieve.co.uk with your order number and we’ll look into it.

It won’t let me order as I live outside of the UK. Can I still buy the products?
Yes, please email hello@oralieve.co.uk and we’ll be able to organise something.
